Before you start

What you need

You'll need:

your contact details
the event name, type and location
the event date (or dates) and public opening times
when you need medical cover to start and finish on site
expected and peak attendance
details of activities, hazards and audience (for example alcohol, children, sport or camping)

You do not need a finished medical plan to get a quote. We can help you work out proportionate cover based on the risks.

How we assess cover

We base quotes on risk as well as attendance. This follows good practice in the Purple Guide and what Safety Advisory Groups (SAGs) usually expect.

Things that affect cover include audience profile, activities, duration, site access, distance from hospital, and any previous medical demand at the event.

If it's an emergency

Call 999 if someone is seriously ill or injured and their life is at risk.
